I want to take this chance to introduce Sheares Choir ~ Which i'm proud to be part of it !

After several months of preparations , we really transformed from a noob singing group to a somewhat proffesional choir ! Today , we had our performance in UCC ( university cultural center ) together with 5 other halls . This is an annual show of the choir and acapella of the 6 halls in NUS , called "Amplitude" . Judging by the responce of the audiences tonight .. i think my choir really put up a fantastic performance !

Since last year , we had performed in several concerts , we went shopping malls to carol during chirstmas holiday , and Amplitude is our biggest and perhaps most important event of the academic year. ( althought we'll have one last concert for this year next wednesday ) So today we treat it kinda like a farewell performance...I took a lot of photos with my choir family. .. so enjoy the photo show k .

We had a little dance routine during the singing.. She was my dance partner. Haha. thank her for always reminding me all the dance steps !

Arghh .. i so handsome .

I also want to use this opportunity to share this.... yesterday i went for a concert in UCC also..performed by NUS wind Symphony . titled "In Tempo 2008" . Well , its indeed a splendid showdown of their talent. I really must say its a fantastic 2 hours of musical journey. They also play a award winning symphony , titled" Planet " with a whopping runtime of 50 minutes . This song is first premier in singapore ..so many people came and watch it. Its a very special piece.. combining piano , cello , and electrical synthesized music into the wind symphony band. I particulaly like the first movement of Planet.. where they produce sound of "big bang" to signify the birth of new planets .. and the third movement where they project the life , the energy of planet Earth . This is the first time I hear the sound of bassoon , contra bass , bass clarinet , and yes ... harp !

They dun allow people take picture during performance .. this is before show starts . Notice the pink platform behind ? They set it up to absorb rebounding sounds. Just like those we see in Karaoke lounge.

Yes .. its harp !! and played by beautiful girl ! ( but i think she is too skinny ) ... but one interesting thing tho .. now only i know when people play harp .. they have to slant the harp and lean it on their shoulder to play the harp ... i.e. the harp is not flat on the ground when played.

I will definately recommend this symphony band to all of my friends ! I so determined to go for their next performance. Hehe ...Ok.. that's all for now . Thanks for your patience for reading tru ~
