Annual Chinese New Year House to House visiting ! ( Da Tuan Bai )

February 16 2008 , Lunar Year calender Chu 10 of the year Rat , we had our annual house to house visits among all Atlantiz members and friends . This tradition has been carried on since Form 1 , and lasted for at least 8 years till now. I must thank all of you who present yourselves that day despite your tight schedules and long journeys back. To those who haven got a chance to join us ( capt,mengguan, soonjeck and liang ) that day, dun worry , you can join next year , or maybe next , next ....year. I hope I can share the joys and funs we had that day tru this blog.


NOTE : I dun have much photos with me , those with photos(especially ong) please edit this post and extend this post in any way you like . You may change anything deems fit to you .



This year, we started at Wee Kang's house with 11 people . Well , as you all know , wee kang's house is a big boring cave to live , so no photos or any special thing happened there. Then we moved house to house to bai nian. One thing very nice is we are already so familiar with everyone's parents , and our parents also so used to have us visiting every year . I saw welcome and joyous on every parents' faces. After all they see us grow up from small little kid , who walked, took bus, taxis in order to bai nian from house to house to now everyone grown up and driving cars from house to house.This bai nian , to me, has evolved from the purpose of collecting Ang Paos to now as a chance to gather everyone back together , and warm everybody's house . I must say , its very fortunate for us to have a bunch of great buddies to grow up together , ya agree ?







This are some of the photos . First up here is at Wee Ser's house. We had some gamble here ... of coz , hosted by none other than xiao lao shu. This year , year of rat .. he won alot that day. Wee Ser mom has baked a cake for us . ------------->
^ above is when we are at soon seng's house. As usual tradition, his mother has fried some prawn crackers waiting for us just like every year. They taste still so good after all these years .

<--This photo is taken at Soon jeck's house. Soon Jeck has gone to Russia for 2 years . However we still visit his house and chat with his parents. Soon jeck's dad was very kind to us .. he treat us some imported wines and chocolates brought back by soon Jeck. NIce Uncle !!!!!

After we went to everyone's house , we had our own annual reunion dinner at one restaurant near Xi Yuan's house . I like the feeling of everyone sitting down and have one family dinner together. We played some silly games while waiting for food, where the loser has to eat raw chili or drink soy source . The food that night was delicious and cheap. Aiks , after we all graduated from form5 , we really seldom have the chance to sit down and chit chat like that - its really a precious opportunity that night .

The food that night ... Sigh , by the time all the food arrived and i wanted to take a photo , half the dishes were gone ! SO FAST ! Eat with atlantiz can never be slow , can I ?

After the dinner , we go to the last station of the night ... each year we have a last station to stay overnight ... to play mahjong , gamble or chit chat together to the morning. Finally we had the chance to take photos with our newly printed T-shirt. I seriously think its cool !

This usually comes after serious photo ... Everyone supposed to pose weirdly i guess. I thought i heard them said Serious and fierce face ... So i did that .. but end up i guess no specific theme was decided huh ? See Ong's orgasm ,qin cong's kind expression, other's fighting poses and kai yuan's silly smile ... eeeik , no teamwork .

We did play and gameble in ong's house . Its quite a pity coz everyone has their own busy schedule so most of the people left earlier.

That's it for this year's da tuan bai . Hope you like it. We'll have to wait till next year for another bai nian !Its a very precious opportunity so everyone try to come next year , ok ?! The next Atlantiz event might be Traveling in this coming May when everyone are having holiday .. so look forward for it !!
