Last day of 2007 , we , Atlantiz , as usual , held a countdown at ong aka atlantiz9's house .

This was the dinner prepared all by ourselves on that night , with the instructions and directions from chef Kai Yuan aka atlantiz6 . The menu for the night was a result of our loath towards usual BBQ chicken or messy steamboat. This western-styled menu include :
1. instant mushroom soup
2. Self made Garlic bread
3. Mashed potato baked with mozarella cheese
4. Fresh shrimp salad with custard(mustard?) sauce
5. Deep fried Chiken chop stuffed with mozarella cheese
6. Self made Soda drink . FnN soda + lemon Juice
7. Self baked fresh-Mango cake
Honestly , it was very good. It was much better than I had expected. Credits should be given to
Kai Yuan for all the preparation and directions ... it would be disastrous without him that night. I also would like to thank Ong for lending his kicthen to us and Soon Seng for the delicious cake. I seriously doubted him when he claimed he can cook . The dinner went well. It was like a big family preparing dinner together and we eat like one big happy family .

Well , we had lots of alchohol that night , all thanks to shin liang's generous mama . 2 x 12 cans of heineken. ( I doubt she knows we won't need alchohol to boost our mood ... as those old uncles )
After that was the 2nd highlight of the night , chocolate steamboat all prepared and safe-proof by Ong .The whole idea is dip the cut fruits inside the chocolate and eat it while its hot. He did some efforts to make sure the chocolate keeps melting when we eat. Here's the pic :

p/s2 :we found out the best combination of fruit with chocolate is Banana .
As the 2nd part of our event , we proceed to Shin liang's farewell party. We had prepared a 45 minutes long video for him. We each recorded down a 3 - 10 minutes farewell wishes for him , and in addition we try to get his friends to be inside the video too. It was a big success , seeing that we had succeded to make him cry after watching the video . ( I burned a digital DVD copy for him to bring to US ) After the video , captain boey presented his self-made so-called passport for shin liang . Then , wee kang had played the guitar and we all sang one farewell song for him. This was our 2nd success , since he cried again .. ahh .

Then we have the countdown ceremony of the night .. which was quite stupid by the way. We all each took one sha1 pao4 ( pop cracker .. those kids play in New Year ) and shoot to the ground when the counting reach 0 . Later then we ate the freaking nice mango cake which was then well refrigirated and flavoured .
Then we had our usual midnight chat .. and stupid games which normally start with football then end with some really silly party games .. (we did " coins guessing" that night ) .
that's about it ... year 2007/08 countdown .
